Description of Event:

“Battle Iberia”

Saturday, December 21st @ 5:30pm

Portuguese and Spanish wines, while sharing geographic proximity and some historical influences, are distinct in character, grape varieties, and winemaking traditions. Portugal is known for having over 250 indigenous grape varieties such as Touriga Nacional and Tinta Roriz for red and Tinta Cao and Verdelho for white, with many wines being blends that offer complexity and balance. Spanish wine focuses on both native and international varieties. Tempranillo, Garnacha, and Albariño are dominant with most of their wines being monovarietal, showcasing specific grape characteristics. While Spain is more established as a wine producing country and Portugal is gaining international recognition, both offer excellent value with hidden gems that over-deliver on quality. Both countries offer incredible wines, and exploring them is as much about discovering tradition as it is about enjoying bold flavors and aromas. Sit down with us the weekend before Christmas and taste the best that the Iberian Peninsula has to offer.
