Produttori di Manduria is the oldest active wine cooperative in Puglia: it was first established in 1928 and then converted into a cooperative in 1932, now with 400 growers. Primitivo represents the major focus of the winery. The Primitivo vines average 15 to 25 years old.
Their Lirica is a Tre Bicchieri winner. It is incredibly complex, full-bodied, well-structured, balanced, elegant, and dry with springy acidity and smooth tannins. The opulent palate conveys cherry, raspberry, plum, blackberry, prune, fig, licorice, cinnamon, vanilla, and earth with light wooden and smoke notes. Try with pasta with lamb ragu or roasted red meat.
A flavorful and full-bodied red with olives, stewed berry fruit, balsamic and sweet mocha on the nose. Plump layers of sweet jammy fruity and more savory elements, with soft tannins giving just enough structure. Sustainable. Drink now.
