The “Tenute Calì” wine group is the fruit of our family’s passion for agriculture, good wine and outstanding products. It is the result of our ambition to continuously improve quality through experience obtained from harvest to harvest.

In 1981, fascinated by its beauty and history, we bought one of the most ancient and noble Chianti Classico estates: Rocca di Castagnoli in Gaiole in Chianti. A farm that first belonged to the Tempi family, who enlarged it in 1730, then to Baron Ricasoli until the ‘50s. With this first acquisition, we began to implement our company mission: to create unique wines that are recognizable by their typical characteristics and respect for the surrounding area.

Winemaker Notes: Capraia Chianti Classico is a wine with an optimal complexity and structure. Ruby red color with violet tinges. Intense and rich aroma, vinous and fruit-driven. Pleasant cherry notes, refreshing and well-balanced with hints of integrated vivid tannin.

Blend: 90% Sangiovese, 10% Canaiolo & Colorino

The 2021 Chianti Classico is superb. Bright and vibrant, the 2021 has plenty of fruit behind its lively acids. Dark red/purplish berries, crushed rocks, lavender and rose petal are some of the many notes that inform this explosive, deep Chianti Classico. The 2021 is a stellar wine, especially with a bit of air.

This red is highlighted by juicy black cherry and blackberry flavors, with earth and iron accents. Firms up on the lively, persistent finish.

A crunchy red with aromas of dried flowers, cherry stones, red plums and lemon leaves. Medium-bodied, with chewy tannins and a textured, rustic finish.
