Podernuovo Sotirio 2020
Winemaker Tasting Notes: Sotirio is made from pure Sangiovese grape following the best tradiction of production in the territory of Siena. It has ruby red color and the nose gives notes of ripe cherry and sweet tobacco. The palate is elegant and intense with important and silky tannins and spicy final notes.
On the nose, copper notes highlight the subtle edge of wild cherry, raspberry candy, passio fruit and citrus blossom. The palate brings more cherries and raspberries, plus a touch of bitter citrus and chili petter heat for balance. Chalky tannins create a mouth-filling, substantial feel despite the supervibrant, crunchy fruit.
